I AM STILL WORKING OUT OUR TEAM'S FINAL TOTAL...but ONLINE PRIOR TO THE RELAY WE HAD RAISED OVER $11,000K HELPING THE FINAL TOTAL OF OVER $90,000K!!! St. Jame's Golf Tourney...

Yesterday some of us Hotties made it out to the Dub's Dread Golf Course in KCKS to help out with the St. Jame's Golf Tournament. We had a great time and can't wait to help out again next year.

For a good cause!

Some of the Hotties Husbands (Shawnee Fire Dept.) joined by the Shawnee Police Department and the Lenexa Fire & Police Departments played in their first annual Charity Softball Game this weekend to raise the awareness on Cancer and the upcoming Relay For Life of Shawnee and Lenexa. The guys had a great time and are already talking about making this a County Wide event in the future!

Old Shawnee Days Parade...

On Saturday a few of us came out to represent the Flamin Hotties and Relay For Life and we walked in the Old Shawnee Day Parade. We hope you will join us at our upcoming Relay For Life Event on June 26th, 2009 at Swarner Park in Shawnee, Kansas. Come out and CELBRATE those who have battled and one the fight, REMEMBER those who have been lost, and FIGHT BACK against a disease that has taken TOO much!

TOURNAMENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT GARRETT PARK AT 47TH & ANDERSON IN SHAWNEE. GAMES BEGIN AT 12:45 IN THE AFTERNOON AND THE FINAL TOURNAMENT WILL TAKE PLACE AROUND 3:30PM! BRING THE KIDS OUT TO SEE FIRE TRUCKS & POLICE UNITS!!!

I went to a TAKE Defense Training last night in OP. The class is FREE and is completely worth it. I want to recommend it to all the women in my life that I care about so that you will empower yourself to fight back if you ever find yourself in a situation that needs it. It is unfortunate to say that this is the world we live in today, but by being aware of your surroundings and paying closer attention to your gut when things don't feel right you can prevent yourself from being a victim. The skills that they shared with us are simple, it is for anyone at any age, and I signed up for this again since it will be in my neighborhood this summer.
